1/2 cup margarine (must have 100 calories per tablespoon, check the label)
1/2 cup shortening
3 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp soda
4 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine, shortening and sugar. Add eggs, salt, vanilla and soda. Mix together. Add flour and mix well. Roll thick for a chewy cookie. Makes 4 dozen. Bake at 350 for 6-8 minutes.
