Ingredients:  
2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 small onion, diced
1 carrot, small diced
1 clove garlic

Cook these ingredients in olive oil until clear.

Directions:
Directions:
Add 1 quart chicken broth, bring to boil
Add 3/4 cup dried split peas
Lower heat and simmer 2 hours.
Add 1/2 cup diced ham
Cook 30 min. longer.

Serves 4-6
