1 small can crushed pineapple
1/2 c. sugar
1 box Jello
1/2 c. cold water
1 pint cream

Directions:
Directions:
Combine pineapple and sugar and boil for 5 minutes. Dissolve jello with water. Add to pineapple mixture, boil 5 minutes more. Cool in refrigerator for 1 hour. Whip 1 pint cream, add to pineapple mixture and spread.

Grandma Peternell used this recipe often. As is typical for her recipes, sometimes you have to guess at things, such as what flavor of jello to use.
