20 c. riced boiled potatoes (salted)
7 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp. baking powder
6 1/2 - 7 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix egg with potatoes. Add flour and baking powder (sift baking powder w/ a cup of flour). Mix well. Form into balls a little bigger than a golf ball. Roll into flour and then drop on counter to get rid of some of the flour. The dumplings should be lightly floured. In large kettles, bring 2 qts of water to boil. Put dumplings into boiling water for 10 - 15 minutes. Drain. Serve with gravy.

These are Grandma Peternell's dumplings that she made for special family gatherings. It was always a contest to see who could eat the most. Usually Tom, Tony, or Everett won! Tony has mastered these dumplings and has taken over the family tradition.
