Dissolve the following into 1/2 c. cold water: 1/2 to 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 to 2 tbsp sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp flour 1/4 tsp paprika
Beat 1 whole egg. Add 1/4 c. vinegar. Add dissolved ingredients. Cook and stir the dressing over low heat in heavy utensil until thick and smooth. Add: 2 tbsp butter. May be thinned with sour cream. This sauce works well with 4 medium size baking potatoes.
