1 c. shortening
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. peanut butter
3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly cream shortening, sugars; add eggs and vanilla and blend well. Stir in peanut butter and mix thoroughly. Sift dry ingredients and stir into creamed mixture. Drop by tsps. onto ungreased cookie sheets. Press with back of floured fork to make crisscrosses. Bake in 350 oven for about 10 min. For richer cookies use only 2 c. of flour.
