1 c. butter or margarine, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. regular oats, uncooked
1 c. chopped pecans
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 (7 oz.) can flaked coconut

Directions:

Cream butter in a large mixing bowl; gradually add sugars, beating well at medium speech of an electric mixer. Add eggs, beating after each addition. Add vanilla, mixing well. Combine flour, soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats and remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded tbspfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 15 min. or until lightly browned. Remove from cookie sheets immediately, and let cook on wire racks.
