3 3/4 C water
1/2 lb. butter
2 C sugar
1 lb. raisins

4 C flour (half whole wheat is very good)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. pumpkin spice
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1 C chopped nuts

2 eggs, beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Boil the first four ingredients for 20 minutes and remove from heat. Sift together the remaining dry ingredients. When raisin mixture is cool, add beaten eggs. Add wet mixture to dry. Bake in 2 greased and floured loaf tins for 1 1/2 hours at 350.
