5 Eggs
1 lg. Cake of Yeast
1 c. Sugar

Nut Filling

4 c. Ground Walnuts

Warm these ingredients until sugar dissolves.

Cookies can be filled with many other fillings (poppy seed, cherry, apricot, nut, etc,)

Directions:
Directions:
Add yeast to 1/4 cup of warm milk. Stir and let sit. Sift flour and salt. Add warmed oleo and blend. Add 5 slightly beaten eggs, then add the yeast and sugar. Beat until shiny and well blended. Chill dough - roll in flour and sugar.

Roll the dough to the desired thickness. Using a pastry cutter, cut into square. Place a teaspoon of filling on each square and then bring two corners together. Bake at 350 degrees until browned on edges.
