2 eggs
2 lb halibut steaks or fillets
1/2 tsp salt
1 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp prepared mustard
1/2 c milk
1 T butter

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg yolks, add melted butter and mustard, add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Fold in beaten egg whites. Dip fish that has been cut into 1 inch cubes in batter. Fry in a basket in deep fat (375 degrees) for about 2 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Serves 6.

Christopher and Mirinda made this when she visited us one summer. Though we did get out on Flathead Lake for water fun and did go fishing at yet another lake in the area, Christopher hauled in the halibut fishing with Ernie in Alaska.
