6 slices 3/4" think French or Italian bread
4 eggs
1 c. milk
3 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Arrange bread slices in a single layer in a plastic or glass baking dish.

In small bowl beat eggs, milk, salt, sugar and vanilla until well blended. Pour over bread, turn slices to coat evenly. Refrigerate, covered, overnight.

Fry until golden brown in buttered frying pan.
