2 pounds ground beef
salt to taste
1 teaspoon oregano

Base: 1 pound Spam, ground up
1/4 pound onions
3/4 pound cheese (little stong)

Sauce: 1 can tomato paste
1 can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Fry the gound beef, salt and oregano. Mix the base and add the sauce until moistened for good spreading. Spread on open faced hamburger buns. Place in oven at 350 until hot and toasted. Not under the broiler. Do not spread too thick or too thin.

"This has always been a family favorite. Whenever we'd go to the farm, Evelyn always had a batch made up. Everyone would chow down at least three or more of these yummy open faced sandwiches."
