"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 pounds hamburger
1 pound bacon
1 cup onion, chopped
1 can lima beans
1 can kidney beans
3 large cans Van Camp's Original Beans

Directions:
Directions:
Brown hamburger and fry bacon. Add onions. In a crockpot add the cooked meat and all the beans. Cook on high for two hours, can turn down to low, depending on serving time.

An alternative is to bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This makes a large batch, which is great for barbecues or family functions. If you want just a small batch, reduce the hamburger to 1/2 pound and 1/2 pound bacon. Cut down the Van Camp beans to 1 large can.
