1 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar, plus more for sprinkly on tops
1 teaspoon baking powder
6 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
1/4 cup heavy cream, plus more for brushing tops
1/4 cup pure maple syrup

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, combine the oats, flour, sugar and baking powder; whisk to combine. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles course meal. Sprinkle the heavy cream and maple syrup over the mixture; blend until a ball of dough begins to form. If the dough is dry, add more cream, one teaspoon at a time. Turn the dough out onto a floured board and kneed until smooth, about 10 times. Pat dough into a 6 inch circle cut into equal wedges. Place on baking sheet and brush the tops with cream. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until scones are golden brown. Cool.
