1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 cup sugar, divided into 2
1 1/2 tsp. Baking powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
1 egg - beaten
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup butter - softened
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 cup melted butter

Preheat oven 350 degree Grease a 12 muffin pan or use liners.
Mix Flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg in bowl. Beat eggs and milk in a small bowl. Beat softened butter in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add flour mixture and egg mixture alternately, mixing with a wooden spoon after each addition. DO NOT OVER MIX.
Spoon batter into prepared muffin pan, filling 2/3 full. Bake until golden brown. about 15 minutes. Meanwhile in a bowl, mix remaining sugar, and cinnamon. Remove muffins from oven when done. Dip muffin tops in melted butter or brush on, then sprinkle into Cinnamon, sugar mixture. Place on rack to cool or can serve warm.
