1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teas nutmeg
1/2 of a 3 oz package of cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cup flour
1/4 teas salt
1/2 cup COLD butter
4 to 5 Tbl Cold water
6 plums, peeled, halved and pitted

Combine sugar and nutmeg. In a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed till fluffy. Beat in 3 Tbl of the sugar mixture; set aside,
For dough, combine flour and salt. Cut in butter till pieces are the size of small peas. Sprinkle 1 Tbl cols water over part of the mixture; gentle toss with a fork. Push to side of bowl. Repeat till all of the flour mixture is moistened. Form into a ball.
On a lightly floured surface roll dough into an 18X12 inch rectangle. Cut dough into 6 six inch squares. Spread 2 teaspoons of the cheese mixture over the cut side of one plum half. Top with the another plum half. Place in the center of a dough square. Moisten dough edges with water. Fold corners to center over plum; pinch to seal edges. Repeat with remaining plum halves and dough squares. Place the bundles in a shallow baking pan brush each with cream and sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture.
Bake in a 375 oven about 30 minutes or till pastry is light brown. Serve warm with additional cream, if desired.
