1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
3 cups quick cooking oat meal

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the shortening and add the white and brown sugars and salt, cream well. Add two eggs and vanilla, mix well. Add the flour and soda and mix. Add the oatmeal and mix well. Divide the dough and make into 2 rolls. Wrap in wax paper and store in the refrigerator overnite. When ready to bake, simply slice and bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes.
