1 1/2 teaspoons soda
1/4 pound raisins
1 1/2 cup boiling water
1 1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups flour
1 package chocolate chips
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup coarsely cut walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mixture 1: Sprinkle the soda over the raisins. Pour the boiling water over this mixture and let cool. Mix the 1 1/2 cup sugar, beaten eggs, shortening and flour together. Mix well and add to the first mixture. The frosting is made with 1 package of chocolate chips, 1/2 cup sugar and walnuts. Mix well and spread over cake top. Bake cake in 9x13 pan for 40 minutes at 350.
