1 c. flour
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
3 lg. onions
1&1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. cornmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cornmeal. Cut in shortening. Add milk and egg and mix well. Slice onion into rings. Dip into mixture and deep fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towel.
