1/2 cup butter
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup flour
8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 cups apples (peeled & sliced)
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Beat 1/2 cup butter and 1/3 cup sugar until creamy, add 1/4 tsp. vanilla and 1 cup flour and mix well. Spread thin in 9 inch pan (spring form or pie plate).

Mix together cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1/2 tsp. vanilla and cover pie crust. Combine apples, 1/3 cup sugar, and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and place on top of cream cheese mixture.

Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Then reduce heat to 400 degrees and bake for an addiitonal 25 minutes or longer, until apples are tender. Serve warm or chilled.
