Spread cranberries in shallow pan so berries lie perfectly flat. Sprinkle 2 cups sugar over berries. Bake in covered pan. In 350 degree over for one hour. Cool without removing cover. Sprinkle with small amount of sugar and mix in 4 tablespoons brandy.
Doubled aluminum foil can be used to cover if pan doesn't have a lid.
