1/3 cup soft shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1-1/2 cups flour
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup milk

6 tablespoon melted butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Heat oven to 350' Mix shortening sugar egg together then mix all of your dry ingredients together add slowly to the shortening mixture and alternate by adding flour then milk until mixture is like a cake batter.
Take a muffin pan and grease each hole, then fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full. bake for 20 to 25
minutes or until golden brown.
Recipe makes about a dozen.

After muffins are done take out of pan and roll in the melted butter then in the sugar and cinnamon mixture while they are still warm.
