11/2 lbs fresh shrimp
6 slices bacon
Peanut or vegetable oil
8 oz. sliced mushrooms
1 c. sliced green onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
11/2 T lemon juice
Tabasco sauce
Chopped parcely for garnish
salt and pepper to taste
cooked grits or cheese grits (stone ground is best)

Directions:

Peel and clean the shrimp. Dice the bacon and cook until crisp in a large skillet. With a slotted spoon remove the bacon and set aside. Add enough oil to the bacon fat to saute the shrimp. Stir and add the mushrooms in about 2-3 minutes. Add the green onions and minced garlic. Season with the lemon juice, Tabasco sauce, parsley and salt and pepper. Serve over grits or cheese grits.
