Place pecan halves in clusters of 2 or 3 (depending on size of pecans) on buttered marble slab or buttered cookie sheet. Prepare caramel recipe. Remove from heat and whip candy with a spoon for a few minutes. Put 1 table­spoon of hot caramel over each cluster of pecans. When cool enough to handle, shape. When cold cover with melted choco­late.
