Swedish Meat balls
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 lb.ground pork
1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp.white pepper
1 egg
2 tbsp.finely chopped onion

Gravy 2 tbsp. margarine or butter
1 cup half & half
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp cold water

Combine meat mixture ingredients mixing well. Shape mixture into 8 large or 40 small meat balls. Heat margarine in large skillet over moderate heat. Brown meatballs on one side about 2 minutes turn and brown other side.Continue to stir meat balls to make round. Reduce heat to low and cover pan simmer about 15 minutes for large balls or 8 minutes for small.Remove meat balls pour off fat. Add half & half or beef stock. Blend cornstarch and water. add to pan. Stir over moderate heat until mixture comes to a boil, add last & pepper if needed. Serve gravy with meat balls.
