2 lbs. ground round or sirloin
4 slices white bread
1 large onion, cut in eighths
2 garlic cloves
1 c. dry white wine
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. dried mint
1 c. flour
1/4 c.salad oil
1/4 c. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Put meat into large mixing bowl. Remove crusts from bread and grind into crumbsin food processor. Add bread crumbs to meat. Put onions and garlic in food processor and chop very fine. Add to meat with remaining ingredients except flour, oil and butter. Mix well, about 5 minutes. Chill for about 3 hours. Shape into 1-inch balls, dust with flour and saute in oil and butter. Drain on paper towels. Serve with favorite dipping sauce.
