c shortening
1 c sugar
2 large eggs
2 c Gold Medal Flour
tsp baking powder
tsp soda
tsp salt
c sour milk or butter milk
1 c mashed bananas
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
With shortening at room temperature, cream shortening and 1 c sugar. Beat 2 eggs until very fluffy and blend into shortening and sugar. Sift flour, baking powder, salt, soda and add to other ingredients. Nix with mixer on slow to medium speed for 2 minutes. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl frequently. Add mashed bananas, cup sour milk, and 1 tsp vanilla. Continue mixing at medium speed, scraping bowl frequently. Bake 30 to 35 minutes in 2 greased 9 inch layer tins at 350 degrees.
