2 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup water
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Place sugar, syrup, salt and water in saucepan. Heat, stirring to dissolve sugar.
Bring to a boil without stirring, until mixture reaches 250-266 degrees on a candy thermometer.
Meanwhile, beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add sugar syrup to egg whites, beating constantly.
Add vanilla and continue beating until mixture will hold its shape.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper. Let set
