3 bunches fresh broccoli
4 tbsp. margarine
12 cups cold milk
3 tbsp. chicken base
4 tbsp. cornstarch
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup sour cream
1 lb. cheddar cheese frated (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Place Broccoli spears in a large pot, covering with water. Cook until tender. Drain well and add margarine. Slice through larger pieces of broccoli. Return to the stove and add milk and chicken base. Cook over medium high heat, stirring frequently to prevent scorching. Mix cornstarch with water. When mixture becomes very hot, add cornstarch mixture, stirring constantly until creamy. Add cheese if desired. Remove from heat; add the sour cream, stirring until dissolved.
