1 3 pound boneless chuck or shoulder roast
1 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup canola oil
1 medium onion thinly sliced
4 bouillon cubes, crushed
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Directions:
Directions:
Season the roast on all sides with salt and pepper, then in a moderately hot skillet add the oil and brown the meat on all sides. Place the roast in a crockpot then layer on top of it the onion slices, crushed bouillon cubes, and cream of mushroom soup. Add just enough water to cover all ingredients. Cook on low setting for 8 hours. When you get home from work you will have a delicious main dish ready.
