1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2/3 cup vegetable oil
2 Tbs grated lemon rind
1 1/2 cups sliced strawberries.
3/ cup chopped almonds or walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Butter and lightly flour a 4 1/2" by 8 1/2 " baking pan; set aside Preheat oven to 350F.

Sift together the flour baking soda and sugar. In a large bowl, lightly beat the eggs. Mix in oil and rind. Stir in the sifted flour mixture until just blended. Fold in the strawberries and nuts.
Do not over blend or the bread will be tough. Pour batter into prepared pan a bake for 1 hour or until an inserted toothpick come out clean. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before turning out on a wire pack to finish cooling. Slice or cut into squares for serving.
