3 cups of sifted flour
2 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 cup butter flavored shortening
1 cup buttermilk
10 oz grated sharp cheese
dash of red pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients. Mix in shortening and cheese. Add milk and mix. Dough will be tacky. Add enough flour (1/4 cup) so you can roll the dough out. Put several tbsp of flour on a board to roll out dough. Roll to 3/8 inch thick. Cut in 2 cirlces. Bake 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
