3 strips bacon, chopped
1 15 oz can Luck's blackeye peas
1/2 cup diced red pepper
2 cups water
1 cup uncooked rice
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cook bacon in skillet till crisp, drain off all but 1 tbs of drippings. Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is tender
