Single Pie Shell:
1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 t salt
1/2 cup shortening
4 to 5 tablespoons cold water

One 9" or 10" Double Crust Pie Shell:
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 t salt
2/3 cup shortening
5 to 7 tablespoons cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, salt and shortening until fine crumbles. (I like to use a pastry blender.) Add 3 or 4 T cold water and see if additional water is needed. Roll out and put in pie pan.
