1 cup sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
3 cups whole milk
1 cup whipping cream
6 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In a heavy saucepan, stir sugar and cinnamon together. Stir in milk, cream and egg yolks. Heat and stir over medium heat until thickened slightly (180 degrees) about 20 minutes.
Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Place saucepan in a large bowl of ice water. Let stand until cool, stir occasionally.
Cover surface of custard mixture with plastic wrap. Chill 4-24 hours.
Freeze custard mixture in an ice cream freezer. Makes 1 quarts.
