Ingredients:
2 cups self-rising flour
1/4 cup shortening
2/3-3/4 cups milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450. Place flour in mixing bowl. Add shortening and cut into flour using a fork until mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Don't over do it. Add milk and quickly stir until dough forms a ball. Too much milk makes dough too sticky to handle, not enough milk makes biscuits dry. Turn dough out onto flour surface. Knead gently about 8-10 strokes. Pat or roll dough to 1/2 thickness. cut w/ a biscuit cutter and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake about 10 minutes till browned.

Personal Notes:
I always use White Lily Flour. **Handle dough as little as possible .
