2 sticks margarine
1 c. water
3 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Frosting
1 stick oleo
3 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb box of powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In medium saucepan, mix 2 sticks margarine, 1 c. water and 3 1/2 tbsp. cocoa. Bring to a boil and pour over 2 c. flour and 2 c. sugar. Mix well and add buttermilk, 2 beaten eggs, soda, and 1 tsp. vanilla. Mix well and pour into 13 x 9 pan which has been greased or sprayed with Pam. Bake at 350 degrees until toothpick comes out clean. Frost when only slightly warm..

In the same medium saucepan previously used, place 1 stick butter, 3 1/2 tbsp cocoa, 6 tbsp milk and 1 tsp. vanilla. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and add 1 lb. box of powdered sugar and nuts, if desired. Mix well and frost the cake.
