"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for BBQ Chicken Pizza, by Suzy Lloyd, is from Lloyds'N'Loves Cookbook ,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
1 Ready-made pizza crust or 1 pizza crust recipe (I buy scone dough at the grocery store) 1 small can of tomato sauce 1 equal amount of BBQ sauce (as tom. sauce) 2 cups cooked & shredded chicken 1 tsp. garlic salt 1/2 lb. mozzarella cheese
Optional toppings: green peppers mushrooms red onions tomatoes any other desired toppings
Prepare crust and spread on pizza stone or cookie tray. Combine tomato sauce, BBQ sauce, and garlic salt. Add shredded chicken. Spread over crust and cover with any desired toppings. Sprinkle cheese on top. Bake at 350º for about 20 min.
You may need more or less seasoning depending on your taste. Sometimes we sprinkle bacon bits on too. We've discovered that Cattleman's or Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauces have great flavor.
