1/2 green pepper- chopped, 1/2 medium onion chopped, 1 medium zucchini- sliced, 1 clove garlic-chopped, 1lb. sweet Italian sausage, 2oz. sliced pepperoni, 1 lb. Zitti, 1 15oz. can of tomato sauce, 1 15oz. can diced tomatoes, 5 mushrooms sliced, 12 oz. shredded Italian cheese, 2 tsp. Italian seasoning, 1 tsp. cayenne pepper.

Slice sausage into 1/2 in. pieces then fry in a large pan until fully cooked. Add onion, green pepper, garlic, and zucchini frying until soft. Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, mushrooms, pepperoni, Italian seasoning, and cayenne pepper. Simmer 10 min. While frying ingredients bring 2 qts. water to a boil. Put zitti into the water and boil until tender. Strain. In a large casserole dish mix the zitti and contents of sauce pan and 1/2 the shredded cheese. Cover and bake in a preheated oven at 375 for 1/2 hr. Remove from oven, cover with remaining cheese and bake an additional 10 min. uncovered.
