Directions:
Mix flour, shortening, sugar, and salt as for pie crust. Put 1 egg in cup and fill with milk to make 2/3 c. Add to flour mixture. Roll out 1/2 of dough to fit large cookie sheet (10 x 15"). Crumble 2 hand-fulls of corn flakes over crust. Slice the apples over crust. Combine 1 c. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon and sprinkle over apples. Roll out top crust, put over apples, and press edges down well. Bake 1 hour at 350 F. While warm, spread with powdered sugar frosting. Cut into bars. Freezes well.

Personal Notes:
Skip making your own pie crust and buy Pappy's frozen pie dough to roll out. Just as good and faster.
