1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. cooking oil
1 t. vinegar
1 sm pkg. strawberry jello
1/2 t. salt
1 t. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk or yogurt
1/2 c. fresh or frozen sliced strawberries

Directions:

Grease and flour (3) 8 or 9" cake pans, preheat oven to 350. Beat eggs, add sugar, cooking oil, and vinegar. Sift together flour, dry jello, soda and salt. Add to other mixture. Add milk or yogurt slowly, add vanilla, mixing well. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Cool and frost with the following: 1 stick butter, softened, 1 box confectioner's sugar, 1/4 c. strawberries (approximately). Combine ingredients and beat until smooth. Spread on layers.
