1 pound package of Great Northern Beans
12 ounces to 1 pound lean salt pork
2 Med. onions
Black Pepper to taste
2 Tbsp. Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Rinse beans, put into Dutch over, cover with water, bring to boil and drain off water. Add fresh water , about 2 inches above bean. Chop 1 medium onions, cube pork into small pieces, add. Cook until beans are tender and chop other medium onion and fry in buter until slightly brown.
add to soup and simmer 5 to 10 minutes and serve.

Family memory of Laurence Wenstad family: Mother would have this soup ready with fresh buns when we would get off the bus as 7 or 8 kids get of the bus at one time. This was so good you will have to try it with Cyyde's onion sandwiches.
