3 large firm apples, like Fuji, Pink Lady, Rome
3/4 c sweet white wine, like Riesling
4 T honey, or more to taste
1 t cinnamon
1/8 t ground cloves
1/8 t nutmeg
1/2 stick butter
Seeds from half a pomegranate

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 325. Core and slice apples. Warm the wine and mix in all ingredients except butter. Arrange apples in a baking dish and pour liquid over them, sprinkling with the seeds. Slice the butter and place throughout.

Bake for an hour or so until the apples are softened, periodically spooning the juice over the top.
