Granppa's Tom and Jerrys Recipe

Beat 6 egg whites all day-till foamy.
Beat yokes separately.
Add 1 lb. powdered sugar to yolks and beat.
Add more powdered sugar to whites and beat.
Add yolk mixture to whites and beat.
Continue to slowly add powdered sugar until batter is desired thickness. Watch it - gets too sweet.

8 shakes of cinnamon
8 dribbles of cloves
8 shakes of all spice
8 more shakes of cinnamon (or less)
Beat like heck. Add a small amount of nutmeg. Makes 1 qt.

Here's the recipe for Tom & Jerrys as Roy wrote it while watching Osmond make it in his kitchen many years ago.

Here are a few tips from Chris:
-Let eggs sit at room temp a while before separating
-Batter should be thick but not overly sweet
-Store in fridge in wide-mouth glass jars
-Use 2 to 3 tbsp. per mug, add ? shots of brandy, rum, or other and fill with boiling water. Stir to mix.
-keeps a few days. Cheers!!
