2 T butter
1 small red apple such as Fuji or Gala, cored and
sliced or chopped
1 T granulated sugar
15 oz round brie at room temp (or wedge)
1/4 c toasted, coarsely chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in 10 inch nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add apple slices and sugar. Saute, tossing occasionally until apples are soft and golden, about 12 minutes.
Let apple slices cool slightly. Carefully place chopped apple or fan apple slices over cheese; sprinkle with walnuts. Microwave on low until cheese is soft. Serve with crackers or baguette slices. May be chilled and then microwaved.
