4 black cod fillets, skin removed
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup mirin (rice vinegar)
1/2 cup brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except cod and bring to a boil. Allow mixture to cool completely. Pour over cod fillets and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours.
Turn on broiler. Remove cod fillets from the marinade, pat dry, and place beneath broiler. fish is done when it has a dark carmelization on top.
