3 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs - well beaten
1 1/2 cups mincemeat (~ 1/2 jar)

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, salt and soda. Cream shortening; add sugar gradually; cream together until fluffy. Add eggs and beat until smooth. Stir in the mincemeat. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well. Drop by teaspoonful 2" apart on greased baking sheet. Bake in moderately hot (400F) for about 12 minutes.
