Stuffed Bell Peppers Recipe

6 medium bell peppers, cored
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 c. light cream
2 tbsp. ketchup
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. cooked rice
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. barbecue sauce
1 egg, unbeaten
1/4 c. onions, chopped
1/4 c. green peppers, chopped
1 - 8 oz. can tomato sauce

Blanch green peppers in boiling water for five minutes. Drain. Mix well the ground beef, cream, ketchup, salt, pepper, barbecue sauce, egg, onion, green pepper, and rice in a two-quart bowl. Do not add tomato sauce. Fill each pepper with the meat mixture and place in a two-quart greased baking dish. Pour the can of tomato sauce over stuffed peppers, cover and place in a 350 oven for one hour or until peppers are tender. Spoon sauce over peppers before serving.
