1/2 green pepper - diced
2 onions - diced
2-3 cloves garlic - minced
4 (6oz) cans tomato paste
1 (16oz) can tomatoes
6 cups water
1/2 cup red wine
2 heaping tsp. basil
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp oregano
mushrooms - optional
sausage - optional
black olives - optional

Brown onions, pepper and garlic in olive oil. Add remaining ingredients and simmer about 1 hour.
