1 yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
2/3 c. shortening
1/3 c. sugar
1 Tbsp salt
1 c. mashed potato
1 c. milk scalded
2 eggs beaten well
Flour for stiff dough

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Add shortening, sugar, salt and potato to scalded milk. When cool add yeast. Mix thoroughly and add eggs. Stir in enough flour to make stiff dough. Knead well on floured board. Put into bowl large enough to allow for slight rising. Rub over with melted butter. Cover tightly and refrigerate. An hour before baking time, pinch off dough and shape into rolls as desired. Cover and let rise until light. Bake in hot oven - 425 15-20 minutes. Makes 2-3 dozen rolls according to size.

This is the "bullet" recipe. I put a pat of butter on each roll as soon as you take the pan out of the oven. Cut down on rising time to get a better "bullet" effect!
